Our annual 1,800-mile road trip from Florida to Colorado has usually been a rushed ride. But this trip was refreshingly different. Personal business required us to swing north to Sioux Falls, South Dakota so we decided to try something reminiscent of our travel writing/photography days. We set aside time for sightseeing.  

It was worth every extra stop! We enjoyed 3,000-plus miles accented with stunning views, heart-melting sights, music and conversations, people’s various creative expressions, and nature’s exquisite beauty from unfurling, tender spring leaves  to raw, rugged mountains and canyons.
